For Singapore's Bicentennial, Omega is marking the occasion with a special edition of the Seamaster. Sized at 39.5mm, the watch will feature blued hands and indices against a white lacquered dial. On the back of the watch you get a view of the in-house caliber 8800, which features a Co-Axial escapement, a 55 hour power reserve, magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss, and METAS-approved Master Chronometer certification. Look closer and you'll notice the metal surrounding the sapphire is engraved with Singapore's most famous landmarks. upload_2019-2-2_13-48-20.jpeg

Apparently limited to 200 and approx £6,250 each

Looks a bit plain in picture though, and that price... Time to check it out in boutiques!

I like the general concept behind these limited editions.... but OTOH its feels a bit like Omega are creating a boyband of minor variations, none of which are that interesting and will all disappear from favour in short order. Yeah I guess I don't actually like them. Ah well, probably not the market they're aiming at anyhow

    Oh look another City Edition.

Nice color combo. Still think they are a tad large.

Open case back with the landmark engraving around it is a nice touch.

It’s a neat feature on the 5 or so other “ city editions” done over the past 2 years.

Indeed. Would have been great if the 2503.33 had had those hands.

Where do you live ? What would your edition look like?

All they need is 200 proud Singaporean’s. If they get 300 there gunna hold value...

They have the London and Swiss edition

I’ve seen the Venice edition in person. They are stunning and very well finished. But as I’ve said they are a tad large. It’s the same problem I’ve got with the Orient Bambino that I own. 40mm at least for me is a tad large for this style.

I forget did they release the NYC one yet? I seem to recal they did and it didn’t have claws like a proper Manhattan should.

I see the skyline of the concerned city for the london, swiss and singaporean editions.

I dont see the same for the venezia edition. What makes that special for venice?

These are lovely watches. I don't understand why Omega thought they needed a few more SKUs in the mix--there are so many Seamaster watches as it stands now. However, I like these as dress watches. In fact, I think these make for a nice alternative to the DeVille series. The price is bonkers, though. It would be nice in a regular edition, maybe drop the case size a few millimeters.

Yes, 37.8mm would be the perfect size.

It would be super useful to keep track of how long one sits in traffic.
