Omega Seamaster

I'm new to Omegas and I picked this up over the weekend but I know very little about it.
I don't have the original pictures from the ad, but the caseback was off and the serial # is in the low 11 million and it had an 18k gold proof mark. The lug appears to have a gold proof mark as well.
My biggest concerns about the dial is the location of the Omega logo being close to the Omega name and I've never seen Seamaster script like that in any of my googling.
Any help would be appreciated.

It’s a very, very poor redial. Value is in the case, probably a 2577/2520 reference.

I figured as much that it's a redial. Is it worth it try and source an original dial?

Won’t be easy - you’d probably have to find a donor watch.

That might be one of the worst redials I have seen, but these are pretty rare in 18k cases.
So finding a donor watch in steel or gold capped with a good dial and switch them will probably be your best option.

Do you have any picture of the movement and inside caseback?

That's probably a good idea.
I'm working on getting them. I was going to my watchmaker today to buy a strap for it. I don't have any other 18mm watches. I'll see if they can take the caseback off for me.

Wow that might be the worst redial I have seen. Looks like a kid wrote it. Still there is value in the case but not something I would want to sink more money into. If you got a good deal on it might make sense to flip it and move on.

Definitely a horrible redial. Find a donor and change the dial and sell the rest as parts
