I need to replace the battery on my mens Omega Seamaster model OMG0111458 2541 circa 2004. I measured the face and it was roughly 42mm so that's the wrench that I bought. That wrench is WAY too big. Horotec makes the following sizes: 20, 30, 33, 42. Appreciate the help!

Caseback wrenches should be adjustable. Pictures are needed to help us understand what the problem is.

I think OP is talking about one of these.

Not only are there different diameters of the centerline of the 5 pins, but the pins themselves come in different diameters. The OP needs to measure the diameter of the 5 holes in the case back, and then the centerline of the 5 pins to determine which case back key is correct for the watch...

Should be 2mm diameter pins, and 33 mm centerline diameter...at least the Omega tool for this is measured this way, but not sure if the aftermarket tools use the same references for measuring the pattern of the pins...

    Cheers, Al

Roswell-Alpharetta-20131226-00198.jpg I figured it out. I measured the wrench that I received to determine how the 42mm was being measured. 42 is the diameter of the tool. So I measured the diameter of the holes on the back of my watch and I see 30mm. So off to RMA the 42 and order a 30.

Thought I should post a pic to close this out for others who find this thread useful. I reinstalled the bracelet before I thought to take the pic but should still be helpful. For my 2004 Omega Seamaster the correct tool is the 30mm. You will also want to buy the handle that this mounts in - Horotec Universal Die Key Watch tool 64.0748
