The titanium will probably wear easier as a daily because of how big, bulky and heavy the watch is, but that Summer Blue dial really is something special.

I have both of these and really enjoy the Omega much more.
May be getting the 215.30.46.51.01.002 which is getting harder to find unworn.

You can argue that any watches with excessive depth ratings or helium escape valves are gimmicky.

That being said, I always find if something speaks to you and you like it, that's a good enough reason to buy it. I have thousands of dives and I've always found 300m more than adequate.

That's good to know. I have the DSSD as well and wondering if I should get the Titanium Ultra Deep since I will probably never get allocated the Rolex Titanium Deep Sea Challenge

I have other Ti watches and the lightness is nice the largest a Panerai downside is they scratch pretty easily. My wife worked for 24 years through 3 owners (Cartier, Vendome and Richemont) so I got to buy some really neat watches couple of Ti ones across the product lines especially during employee sales during the Vendôme years. Couple of pics of some of my collection, the TI is the one on my wrist.

Personally I’m not a fan of NATO straps and I don’t like Ti watches so that would eliminate the Ti UD for me. A summer blue UD with a bracelet is a watch I would consider but I have all the divers I can wear at the moment. I bought a PO Summer Blue and it’s one of my favorite watches. The dial is stunning I can’t stop looking at it when it’s on my wrist. I like the 39.5 size but I have no qualms about wearing my 43.5 PO either so I don’t think the size of an UD would bother me much.

RE: Ti vs Steel. I recently bought a Grand Seiko Snowflake and even though I loved almost everything about the watch I couldn’t bond with the Ti. It was too light and felt cheap to me. Fortunately I have a great relationship with my dealer and he took it back for full credit towards a steel watch. I’ve owned Ti watches in the past and generally liked them but they were all inexpensive beaters. For some reason when I buy more expensive watches I like to feel the heft on my wrist. I guess I’m more shallow than I realize.

Im a sucker for some gimmicks. I’d do the ultra deep summer blue and a small UV flashlight.

Actually the summer blue would be my party watch. I would need the Ti one for getting down to business.
