For sale is my Seamaster 2913-3 from 1958. The calibre 501 movement was fully serviced by Simon Freese on 05/04/2017, all seals were replaced, and the hands were relumed. The dial was left untouched and retains its original radium plots. As sometimes seen with 2913's the dial has faded to a lighter colour. Original broad arrow hour and minute hands are present, as is the rarer lollipop seconds hand. The straight lug case is in good condition and does not appear over polished, the lugs still retain a nice shape. Correct naiad crown. The bezel included has an 'Aldo' countdown insert, which is correct for this reference. Avoid the 12-18 month wait. The watch comes on an early no date 7077 bracelet with 5 x double links (1 was removed to size the bracelet, this is included), and is overall in good condition. These double links have been selling independently for as much as £400 each. The springs still retain stretch. A set of repro no 6 end pieces are included. It has an early 15706*** serial with an Omega extract stating delivery to South Africa on March 31st 1958, which is the correct period for a -3 reference. Details: Correct 2913-3 with original BA hands and lollipop. Serviced. Extract. 7077 with 5 doubles and repro 6s. Aldo insert. Original radium plots. Naiad crown. There is a mark on the dial the can be seen around 1-2, there is some fading to the dial, it is not jet black. The case back has seen a polish although the engraving is still visible. Relumed hands All in all a nice example of a rare early 2913. £19500 GBP plus shipping/insurance. Fedex/Parcel Pro. Costs to be discussed. PS, I will not sell the 7077 or 6s unless the head is sold 1st. Feel free to ask any questions. Pictures. View attachment 616764 View attachment 616765 View attachment 616766 Thank you.
£850 apart with an O.F'er.... but no cigar. Reduced asking to £18250, includes Worldwide fully insured express shipping.
I have just realised that the no 6 end pieces included on this sale are aftermarket and not genuine. I bought these end links in good faith and fitted them to the bracelet in 2017, at a cost of 1400 euros. I have not looked at them again until now. I would never try and sell aftermarket parts as genuine....and if anyone has picked up on that I apologise, it was a genuine mistake and is one that has cost me. The price has been adjusted to reflect this.
Sorry for the bad news. That stings. Maybe for good measure, adjust the description as well? Good luck with the sale too. Beautiful watch!
