    Hey guys,
I'm looking to get a mid size omega seamaster and I really like the style of the one here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131061182337?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network . It's at the max end of my budget and I was wondering what your guys thoughts were. It doesn't come with a receipt either so is there a chance it's fake? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated guys!
    Thanks!

    The price is too high IMO. Quartz + mid-size < $1000 (£611).

How about the legitimacy of the piece?

Can't help - don't care about quartz nor do I follow modern watches. Sorry.

I would say that it looks Legitimate..

But I would have to agree with Dennis....Who Cares if it's legitimate or not?

    Quartz, mid size, over-priced....

What is your budget? we could probably make some suggestions that help to convert you over to the dark side...

Why Mid-sized? How dainty are your wrists?

(what is the mm measurement on the mid-size anyway?)

36.25 mm compared to 41 mm for the full size.

For a little more than $1065 / €785, you could get an automatic mid size version of that watch. If you're set on a battery powered computer chip programmed to tell time and stuffed into the case of a watch, you should be paying no more than $850 / £520 / €625 for the style you posted.

I would suggest taking a look around here - our discussions and the WRUW (what are you wearing) thread. You'll see we're mechanical watch addicts, so this might not be the best place to ask about a quartz thingy. If the prospect of owning a real man's mechanical watch appeals to you then we'll certainly help you, keeping you from making any bad purchases or overpaying.

I can't get past the size... and given the Bezel...this will wear very small...

If your wrists are that dainty maybe... but I would look at the 36.2mm size AT ..the 2500 calibre could be had for ~ $2500, and the Quartz ~ $1200.
the AT will seem bigger (like a man's Watch) because of the dial-bezel ratio, but won't take up any more wrist space.

But If you're really looking at a meaningful watch...don't go quartz..

And I know $2000 might seem like so much more than $1000, but amortize that over 10 years... the last thing you want to have is any regret...
