Omega Seamaster NOS 1660210 dial?

Hi everyone,
I just bought this Omega Seamaster at an auction, from a seller with 100% positive references. He apparently has a big collection of NOS/rarely worn Omegas.

Its a Seamaster, and in the caseback it says 1660210 as the reference. I fell for the beautiful black dial (it's matte grey in reality) and the Spanish day mentioning, as I live in Spain.

What are your thoughts on the dial? I haven't been able to find a black dial online for this reference, nor have I been able to find a version that doesn't have Seamaster written on it. Seller claims that it could be 'a special edition' made by Omega, but would love to hear your view.

I know the strap is not original.

Many thanks, Yves

Yes, there is a gilt black dial for this plated case, without Seamaster on it, so on that aspect it makes sense. The photo isn't clear enough to say much about this specific dial though.

Thank you for the reply! I've tried to make better photos, hope these are clear enough..

Hard to see correctly: are the Indizes silver? The day/date window border silver? The applied omega logo silver? And the hands and all printing gold ?

Would that mean it's likely original?

I would tend to say no unfortunately.. I don’t know if I’m missing something but your watch should look like this based on the reference :

- Omega vintage database picture

Looks like your watch might be entirely redone..

But I can be wrong! Let’s see if someone else has other opinions.

This picture was exactly the reason why I started this topic 😀. But I started to get hopes seeing @Archer his response.

I would caution against using the OVD as gospel to declare things incorrect. It is horribly incomplete.

If you looked this up by case number and case material, and it only shows one configuration, then it is missing 9 others that exist. This case and this movement had 10 different dials used on it, so the OVD is very inadequate in this regard.

All these dials were used in this gold plated case, with that movement:

064TT1609026 | §DIAL BLUE YELLOW IND.LUM. 1020

064TT1609029 | §DIAL GILT BLACK IND LUM. 1020 - this is the OP's dial

064TT1609030 | §DIAL SILV.BLACK Z.YELL.IND.LUM. 1020

064TT1609034 | §DIAL SILV.YEL.IND.8/8LUM. 1020

064TT1609040 | §DIAL GILT YELL.IND.LUM. 1020

064TT1609053 | §DIAL GILT YEL.IND.LUM. 1020 DV

064TT1609101 | §DIAL SILVERED YEL.IND.LUM. 1020

064TT1609116 | DIAL GILT YELLOW IND.8/8LUM.C.1020

064TT1609119 | §DIAL SILV.YEL.IND.LUM. 1020 SEA

064WK1609053 | DIAL GILT YEL.IND. SLN 1020 DV

Cheers, Al

I stand corrected. Good to know, thanks for the information! 👍
