My guess is that it's most probably Quartz. I'm not able to check right now, but somebody may be able to look it up for you.
It's not fake, it's a Seamaster Mariner 3 ref. 196.0242 / 396.0938 cal. 1420 (quartz), and pretty rare.

I'm pretty sure the ref. is correct. The dial may vary as well the calendar disc color. As well, i've seen both bracelet types on this model.

Any numbers on the case or hang tag (assuming that is a picture of the watch you have)? If not, you will likely have to open the case back to get full verification.

Sorry it looks blueish bad lighting it is actually silver dial stainless case. And now it seems I can't cop a a link to my original post asking about it. The post is titled New To Omega.
