Omega Seamaster Jedi Chronograph

Respectable Members

Kindly advise whether this is actually an Omega Speedmaster but carries the name of Jedi. Apart from the shape of the case, is there any difference, functions-wise between a Speedmaster and a Jedi?

It is a Seamaster and not a Speedmaster.

The cal 861movement was used in both Seamaster chrono's and the Speedmaster from the late 60's onwards. Obviously the functions of both watches are the same & the differences lie in the dials, hands, cases and bracelets.

I don't think thats a true Jedi. It's a nice watch, but it's not the tungsten injected case. The Jedi is a 145.023 like this Anakin:

Dennis, I'm not sure that's quite right. Maddox referred to the 145.024 as a "Flat Jedi", with the 145.023 (as in your pics) being the Anakin: http://chronomaddox.com/dimensions_selected_omega.html
