Guys,

It is me again, I appreciate so much you help on my first post, so I would like to ask your guys opinion and more information about this Omega Seamaster.

it is 700 AUD, so I am wondering if it’s worth it as a first piece of my collection.

obs. I have tried to do some research and apparently this crown is not original, correct?

unfortunately that’s pretty much my budget for now.

You're right, the crown is a replacement. Otherwise it looks legit to me. As for condition, the hands have some issues obviously and I see one noticeable mark on the dial near 5. I really can't judge the case from those photos. It could be poor photos, but it looks like the inner edges of the 12 o'clock lugs may be damaged. If you can see the watch in person, you can decide for yourself whether you find the condition appealing. It looks like this is a retail store. Has the watch been serviced? Any warranty?

I’m a fan of this era of Seamaster but I think that AUD 700 is on the high side when you have to factor in a service, a different crown and replacement hands (unless it’s just that they look worse in photos, which can happen).

With that in mind I’d keep on looking - there are quite a few 166.002s on the market.
