New purchase to add to the collection. Lovely watch and feels comfortable on the wrist. I’d been searching for one for ages, and managed to find one fairly local.....
Congratulations. It is a great watch but not my cup of tea. I love the Bond Seamasters but don’t currently own one. I have a 2254 and it’s GMT brother though - 2234.
Any chance that any of you would mind sharing the first few digits of your serial numbers, and which version (A B or C) of the 2628 movement it has? I know it's a bit of an odd question, but I'm on the hunt for one of these and am trying to find one that has the most-modern version of the 2628 (aka adaptation of the 2500A, B, C, or D) based on where the first 3-5 digits in the serial fall in the 8XXXXXXX range...
8525XXXX and higher serial numbers are associated to 2500D movements; the same applies to 2628 latest iteration movement (2628C) Mine is 84942XXX and it is a 2628B as confirmed by Omega below so not from the latest movement iteration (2628C) based on serial number or the font of the date wheel: Here the font of the date wheel found on the 2628C pieces:
Perhaps that's why they skipped the C? So that the D versions were aligned between the 2500 and 2628?
