Someone apparently added the "Seamaster" script after the fact, unfortunately, which drastically reduces the value of the watch. This should be an Omega Geneve. There may be other problems, that is the most glaring. As you can see, "Seamaster" is applied much thicker than the other script and it is not lined up properly, quite crooked in fact. I hope that you didn't pull the trigger on it, or, if you did, that you will be happy with it as it is. Cheers.

Edit*. Case back says 166.0020, which should be a Seamaster, so not sure what's going on. Avoid if you haven't purchased.

Agree. The Seamaster script is also too high. If it was a genuine Seamaster Gèneve (they did exist) the scripts would be lower on the dial.

As it is, the "Gèneve" is in the correct position.

I am very glad that I posted this thread. Something didn't seem right to me. When I went to look for a similar watch, I couldn't find one anywhere. I thought my eyes were deceiving me, but alas, others saw that the type was crooked as well. Again, thanks everyone

I know this is a common question, but can someone suggest some places to buy an all original vintage Seamaster in stainless steel? My price range is between 500-750. Thanks again
