Hi,
Can any of the members please advise what band originally came on the Omega reference 198.031? Was it stainless steel if so what reference or leather?
Cheers Russell.

Probably a 19mm leather strap. There may have been a bracelet as an option but most are long gone if so.

Many thanks. I have never seen a picture of one on the original style of band.
Cheers Russell.

NOpe, neither have we. Have you searched old-omega web site, which holds many old omega catalogues?

Hi,
I have just found this in my strap box a 198.0031 bracelet that I bought ages ago with a spare 198.031 case with other parts. This i have found out was for the 198.031 Omega f300 Geneve Chronometer. Need to get a new pin on the clasp.
Thanks Russell.

Certainly fits. But are there other examples of where Omega stamp the model number of the watch onto the bracelet? Normally Omega gives the bracelet its own unique ref number?

I haven't seen this before with the model number stamped into the bracelet. I will post pictures when I get the watch back from my watchmaker as he is fitting a new 344 battery.
Cheers Russell.

You do see that occasionally on precious metal models with integrated bracelets. Sometimes on small ladies models too but I agree it it rare on a removal full size steel bracelet. Is there anything stamped on the end links?

tdn-dk,
Thanks for the pictures of the watches. Some end links look straight and some curved.
Cheers Russell.

Thanks for that. The end links I have don't have any numbers stamped on them.
