My question is is it worth the $2000 without box and papers. Thanks for any advice

Who is "they"? I would search eBay completed listings to get an idea of value. Box and papers only matter if the watch is still under warranty or if you plan to resell.

It would be most helpful to see pictures of the actual watch. We need to see what you are really getting.

Price is not bad, could be shaved a couple of hundred but it is not a collectors peace. Being a Bond edition with the 007 branding makes it more of a gimmicky branded toy than a collectible. Even IF you want to reference your watch to Bond, and why not? Do you really think he would wear a watch with 007 written on it, or gun barrel markings etc? Not only it would be a little bit of a giveaway but it would also somewhat interfere with a sense of style.

In my opinion get the watch if you like it, but if you want a Bond smp cx then look for a blue dial, ideally with wave pattern which is what Brosnan had and Craig on Casino Royale.

Not worth $2000 w/o box and papers. If anything, the Bond-branded items sell for LESS than the regular items, and you can find a Seamaster of this caliber complete (box, papers, extra links, hang tag, etc) for around that price, if not a few hundred more. I would offer $1500 max, and only if you are truly in love with the 007 theme.
Think of it this way: you have a chance to purchase a lightly-used C63 AMG for $50k, but it used to be a pace car and therefore has hazard lights and advertisements plastered all over the exterior. Would you do it?

I'm thinking more like $1700 or so. But yeah, maybe that's more for an actual smp xx

This one they should give away with the popcorn
