Omega Seamaster Deville won't wind, crown won't pull out

Guys got my omega seamaster deville today. I was aware that the watch needed servicing but now I am getting slightly worried. When I try to wind the watch I can't, as if it were already fully wound, and there is a tiny amount of charge that allows the watch to run for a minute or so. When I spin the crown counter clockwise, it spins with slight ratcheting sounds. I can't pull the crown out to set the date and time.
    Ever experienced anything like it?

Stop messing with it and get it to a watchmaker before you really screw it up.

Yeap, if its already in need of service, you need to resist the urge to play with it and get it off to one of those blokes that owns finger-gloves and tweezers.

... Ok will do.... also because I managed to pull out the crown... and I mean all the way out.... like the crown is on the table and the watch is in my hand.

On the plus side it means you now can't wind it anymore and cause internal wear, so you could look at it as a positive :)

    It'll be fine after servicing

Don't worry - it's a split stem so it's meant to come apart. But still it needs to be serviced before you use it any more.

    Cheers, Al

Brought it in for service, which will cost as much as the watch itself... still pretty excited. Also got an ultrasonic cleaner from amazon, ready for the bracelet when it comes back. Watchmaker sent me a pic of the movement too
