    Bought myself a nice automatic one in SS. A lot off those deville,s have the first S in the word seamaster written with what I call a normal S. Mine actually has that S with the beneath part more hooked and a bit longer. The question is; at what time\year did that change. Greetz from the Netherlands Simon

    I'm afraid that no one really knows the answer to your question. I think that different fonts were used concurrently on different models within the same model line.

    Without pics we can't be sure exactly what you mean. It might be a service replacement dial, it might be a redial, it might be a franken...... and how do we know what you mean by a "normal" S?
