Hi I inherited this lovely omega seamaster cosmic 2000 with date, I have done a lot of research but simply cannot find exact information on what model this is and the spec of the piece itself. I am looking to sell it as its not my personal style but do not have the original box or papers so was wondering what the watch would be worth ? If any one could help please let me know Oh and I know it has definately not got original strap! Many thanks in advance !
Please use a "macro" setting on your camera or cellphone. A small tripod or something to steady the camera would be helpful as well. My eyes hurt from looking at those pictures, gatorcpa PS - You'll need to have a qualified watchmaker (not some kid at the mall kiosk) take off the back and record the information from the inside of the case. I do know that the Cosmic 2000 is not one of the more collectible lines that Omega ever made. Maybe worth a couple of hundred, a bit more if the condition is really good.
sorry will do buddy, need to source a watchmaker first though as I think there aint many left where i live will update pics and try get the back opened by a watchmaker and repost soon ...
GatorCPA is right on the money value wise, these are plentiful and not in collector demand, its a watch popular as a reasonable cost entrypoint into Omega sports watches, but only at reasonable prices.
If I am being honest I would happily take 200-250 GBP for it and have someone that actually likes these watches than it lie around my house anymore gathering dust ...
Keep an eye on this to get a feel for what a good looking one might fetch: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150887013...:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_14980wt_1120Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network and do a few ebay searches and watch how those turn out before you try to sell.
Is that genuine? Retail price much higher as expected: http://www.austinkaye.co.uk/Gents-Omega-Seamaster-Cosmic-steel-manual-on-strap-2064-p.aspx
