Omega Seamaster Cosmic 166.0137 - UK Repair

Evening All! I recently spotted (what I think is) a Seamaster Cosmic 166.0137 and decided to take a chance on it. It's a non-runner and as can be seen missing the bezel - the bracelet is also missing links and whoever did it hasn't closed the links back over. The good news is that there doesn't appear to be any water ingress, hands & date set fine and the crown screws down properly.

Is there anyone particular in the UK who would be best to send this to to get it back to its former glory or could I possibly be chucking money down a well?

I'm in no particular rush to have it repaired so don't mind biding my time waiting for a bezel etc. to turn up.

The problem with these is I think the bezels are no longer available.
I think it may be a money pit but given the missing bezel I’d probably try Swiss Time Services to see what they say.

Simon Fresse is HIGHLY recommended

But I doubt he has a bezel for this watch

Really?! Good to know. I assumed these were in the same bracket as the SM120 bezels.
In that case Swiss Time Services should be able to service it and add a bezel unless it’s a Switzerland only caliber which I don’t think it is.

Thanks everyone, I had thought about going to Simon first and it's good to know that the bezels are still available. I wonder what the difference in estimates between Simon and Swiss Time would be - I know that the Swatch Group have made getting parts a tad more difficult over the years.

Are the original bezels bakelite?

Okey dokey, Simon can't source the bezel so it's going to go off to STS.

However, everyone is a winner (except my bank balance) - my Omega '56 will be going off to Simon (buggered balance).

I'd better move some watches on to pay towards repair costs!
