I'm interested in purchasing this watch, the seller does not have the box or documents, would you say it is a genuine one or a very good fake ? the back case (horse and semaster word) it seems to be diferent from the regular ones is that right ? the serial is : 86073761 is there on the market perfect replicas of this watch ? I've made a search on Google with the serial number and it is clean Thanks in advance!
If that's the serial number, it's a complete fake. This is what that specific serial number shows on the Omega Extranet: James Bond Limited Edition, ref. 21230412001005, and the case back would look like this: But there would be a "bullet" looking part in the center. Pass on that one. Cheers, Al
Here is how most people do it.... 1 - Quit your job and go to watchmaking school - typically 2 years. 2 - Get a couple more years experience at the bench after school. 3 - Spend about $80K on equipping your shop to Omega standards. 4 - Apply to Swatch for a parts account, and hope they give you one. 5 - Once you have the account, then you can access the Extranet. Seriously though - not something the general public can access....you have to have a parts account. Cheers, Al
Oh, Al, I didn't mean to contradict you, I made my post too quickly and wasn't clear. What I meant was that if that is the serial number and it is indeed fake, then there doesn't appear to be even a single thing out of place to my eyes. Either the fakes have become unbelievably good, or perhaps the serial number has a typo or something. Either way, I think a healthy dose of caution is in order.
Or that is a photo of a legitimate watch that someone is using to pull a scam...giving a serial number that doesn't give up any negative results in a Google search, but is not for the actual watch being shown... And yes, could be a typo also - several possibilities. Cheers, Al
Try serial number 86075761 rather than 86073761 I think this is a simple case of him not being able to read very well.
Just one reason why counterfeits sell - people want to believe they're getting a steal of a deal. It's obvious something is amiss so walk away.
Here is a screen shot from the Omega Extranet....as you can see the serial number near the bottom right at the red arrow is the one the person is giving you, and it does not match the watch you show. Cheers, Al
You can tell the seller you checked with Omega and the serial number indicates it is fake, which is true.
