Can we get a photo of the dial in natural light.

Dial looks OK based on this single photo.

One I had to compare . . .
Typically the minute hand will extend to the minute track, but there are exceptions.

Looks to be in exceptional condition. The light tarnishing of the gold is a good sign that this piece is untouched, and the matching seamaster box is a good sign as well. If this piece is a true NOS example, which it seems like it is, then it's probably worth anywhere between $1,500 to $2,500, in my opinion.

This is a very nice looking watch in what looks to be fabulous condition. Where has it come from? It looks like it’s come from a shelf in a boutique 😉

Hands are too long. It may be possible to replace them with correct ones from a supplier, but radium may not match.

Strap and buckle look to be genuine Omega OEM from late 1960’s. This is about 10 years newer than watch.

Case and dial look good and the two-tone style is unusual for this reference. Nice overall vintage look to the watch.

Hope this helps,

Have you seen this type of dial before? Something about the two-tone scheme and the markers says replacement dial to me, but if it was a sixties replacement, you would expect it to be tritium lumed. The wrong hands could have been put on at the same time.

A 2489 with a pristine dial is very uncommon in my experience, far less common than 2846s with spotless dials, so when I stumble across one I usually suspect that some work has been done.

I think the dial is correct and original to the watch, I suspect a previous owner wanted luminous hands and these longer ones were added.

The owner of this watch only wear it on Sundays, Saturdays and in parties of joy not too much and he respect the watch.

Okay, so now you are an expert?

That is why you PM'ed me for advice? And didn't even bother to say 'thank you' after I spent time helping you?

That's great.
