I passed on these when they were "affordable" and now have regrets. I'll watch this auction to the end knowing that I am no longer a player and live with my sorry excuse of a bezel.

It will be interesting to see if this brings a premium.

Kudos to Aldo if you are watching. I'm getting closer to pulling the trigger to have you restore mine. Just hate the fact that I have to ship to Italy and wait 6+ months.

The value is in the actual bezel not in Aldos work. Aldo charges $300 to redo the insert only...he doesnt make the entire bezel.
Regardless there is absolutley nothing wrong with selling a bezel enhanced by an artist like Aldo...Do you feel the same way about a freshly serviced vintage watch?
BTW- This isn't the first bezel sold on ebay, and certainly not the first with an Aldo insert...there have been many over the years. Parts for watches are sold all the time without their host watches.

 

Aldo is getting quicker if anything, it only really makes sense to buy this if you are short the actual bezel.

Actually, a plan would be to buy a restored bezel by Aldo then sell your unrestored version. Too bad it mine looks like it fell down a garbage disposal.

 

Unless his rates went up they were $250 Euro.

My four above are all originals mounted on 2913s.
I can also throw this all original 14755-61 into the pot as well.

 

It's threads like these that make me realise some members have awesome collections!

 

I know the seller and is a good and honest person. The bezel of Aldo is almost like the original. It is 100000 better than the missing insert or the other redone.
