    Hi all,

Very first time in getting a vintage watch - enjoy its uniqueness, rarity, design and the fact it contains some history.

Got in touch with a seller, he seems legit to me from the way we have talked so far.

Comes with servicing papers - last serviced 2010 (in french.. if anyone knows french here :D) and exterior check done last year.

No caseback opening... so hopefully these documents can help.

    Please advice!

Have seen 1 or 2 posts similar to this but not specific to this design / dial.
Seems like the 1956 model but differs in terms of the 6 and 12and indices.. most obviousones

So, its been replaced and not well done? Btw, the servicing & extract never mentioned anything about the dial appearance / state could this be why or its just standard

Hard to explain, but I can see it instantly, having seen a lot of genuine dials. It's the thinness / shape of the font, the outer scale that is printed wrong, the SWISS MADE... This is a redial for sure. If I'm wrong, I will pay for this watch. :)

The service letter in french, states that because the case is used and can't be changed, they can't garantee the watch being waterproof. That's normal with vintage pieces, so keep that in mind. And they also state that they couldn't find any identique dial (probably a sign it was redone in the past, and seller knows it probably).

Btw. on the private sales section there is a similar watch

A total and absolutely 100% no-go. You can easily find a very nice example for the asking price.

For that price it's a bad deal, as a spare parts movement it's worth 200-400$ max
