Looks like it was sold for $5000, and if that's correct it's too high in my opinion.

Wow... that's a real beauty! Thanks for sharing! The straps are perfect too! Authentic to the watch and era, and if they're the original watch straps, I am amazed at the condition!

Gotta love eBay sellers who throw some bullshit about military connections in their auctions. If the seller can't prove it, then it isn't true.

Gotta be honest... This wasn't mentioned in the auction details, he didn't mention it till I asked about any interesting info after the sale. He is going to try to send me some paperwork! Until then, though, yeah, I agree about some of the crazy stuff people mention in their item profiles.... very creative 🤦

That may be, and of course, any documentation you can collect will be helpful should you ever want to sell it.

However, the General would not have been wearing this particular watch during his WWII service as it was not produced until the early 1950's.
