Normally I don't advise interfering with a sale, however in this case I must point out that the watch dial, which is correct, does not match the movement. The movement is a 342, unadjusted and this reference should have a 343 or 344 COSC. Therefore the movement is not original to the watch or correct.

Thanks, Steve !

I always hope that watches here are original unless stated otherwise. We (less educated) count on this venue as a relatively safe haven for purchases.

Evaluation from the experts should always be welcome by everyone, buyers and sellers alike.

We are a club, friendly and supportive. Caveat Emptor is for ebayers, not us.

Master of Speed, that is a beautiful watch, I am not implying anything and I mean no disrespect by my comments. I am only trying to encourage our experts involvement which I feel is a major benefit of belonging to this group.

Cheers,
Buck

The issue here is that the DIAL is incorrect for the movement, not that the movement is incorrect for the case.

The caliber 342 is NOT nor ever was a chronometer movement.

343 or 344. But it must be a Chronometer

Only 343 - the 344 was not issued as a chronometre.

Be aware that Omega lists the 344 as COSO, but that is incorrect as stated by Mike.

Sometimes I think there is more misinformation in the OVD than good. 😲
