Hello guys! I am from Brazil and I am new here and would like to gather as many opinion as possible on this Seamaster Crosshair Caliber 562.

I am trying to self educate myself in this hobby (although I am still a rookie) with the posts in this forum and I appreciate the amount of amazing threads available.

I am thinking about buying this watch from a friend and I reckon the price is quite reasonable (USD 320).

If you guys can help me to point any major issues on this watch, maybe I can try to negotiate the price or give up on the deal.

Thanks in advance.
Peace ✌

Welcome. Unfortunately, the dial has been poorly repainted. You will probably need a slightly larger budget to buy a good one.

Hello Dan S thanks for your input.
I have been learning so much from you guys lately.

Could you pin point exactly what detail caught your attention to conclude the poor repainting?

And do you think is not worth the investment as a first piece of an unexperienced collector? 😀

I agree with Dan. The fonts are incorrect and the cross-hairs do not align with the applied markers. Both being so sloppy are clear indicators.

Otherwise, not a horrible choice, but waiting for something special and paying what it's worth are a whole lot better than buying any cheap crap you can find because it's cheap... I made that mistake myself plenty of times.

The printing is wrong. With more experience you will recognize it. Generally, I think that it is better to save up and spend $600 for a better watch that will make you happy for a long time.
