Dear Respectable Members According to the Omega vintage database, an Omega Seamaster 503, Case Ref 2849 shows it should have 20 Jewels: Dimensions: Ø34,5 mm Reference CK 2849 International collection 1956 - 1962 Movement Type: Automatic (mechanical) Caliber number: 503 Created in 1955 20 jewels But I have also seen case ref 2849 with 19-jewel movements. Is this correct? Could someone please clarify? Many thanks.
Cal 503 was originally a 19 jewel movement and was later upgraded to 20 jewels. It's conceivable, and indeed possible, for an early 2849 to have the 19 jewel version. Cheers Desmond
