Hi everyone,

I'm following this bid currently for a semaster calendar. I understand the the crown might no be original / a replacement. Here's what I would love your help with:

1- is the case in good condition/ not too overpolished?

2- is the dial in original condition/ refinished?

Is is a good buy for 1200usd - 14k solid gold.

Thank you!

Dial looks original good condition
Case polished but most of these gold cases are. Several big chunks on lugs
Bowler hat crown period correct prob original
Seconds hand likely replaced
I think price reasonable for 14k

Here’s another FS in Watches for Sale OF by good dealer and it’s serviced have a look for comparison.

The price reflects the value of the gold, but I would get no joy from that watch.

Thanks a lot. What do you mean by several big chunks on lugs? Sorry I am new to this.

There is big dent on edge of lug in first picture, and smaller one on the lower right lug in second picture.

I think the case is too polished to appeal to most collectors. Also the lug damage is issue. And the dial is very white for such an old watch may have been cleaned.

Looking at Teerapat's example and then the OP, another issue I see is that the OP dial edge is visible and a gap is noted between dial and case. I suspect there is a missing gold tension ring, or possibly rehaut on OP watch. Or possibly not the correct dial for the case. Another reason to pass on it.
