    Dear Omega lovers,

The moment is near for me as I just ordered this vintage Omega Seamster cal. 283 and will soon be part of this community!
However, my knowledge about watches is very limited and therefore I wanted to ask if any of you had any infos about this particular piece? and what do you think about it?
Here is also a video of the watch.

    Thanks in advance ;)
    Florian

Do you know the reference number (it's inside the case back)?

No. That's the movement's serial number.

Wow, you are scaring me now as I have no picture of the case back. Do you think that it could not be legit?

Why does that scare you? Calm down. It's not unusual for sellers to not know what they're doing. When it arrives, take it to a watchmaker and have it opened up. You will be able to research it, once you have the number.

The watch is just fine - efauser is probably hinting at the fact that by merely googling the reference number you'd dig up a lot of information. He's a big fan of newcomers doing just a bit of research before coming around asking for advice ;)

    And rightly so.

Also, purchasing prior to researching is equivalent to taking a test before studying for it. I can assure you, the results will be better when done in the correct order.
