·Hello
I hope you can help me learn more about my watch which my Dad had as his 21st birthday gift from his parents. It was bought from a jeweller in Liverpool in late 1956.
My Dad died many years ago and the watch lived in my Mum's jewellery box until I started to wear it about 8 years ago. It worked straight away and it keeps relatively good time but recently it seems to be getting a bit more erratic, losing perhaps 90 seconds a day.
Removing the back it looks quite dirty and I want to get it properly serviced, something I'm not sure has ever been done. I have no idea where to take it and would appreciate any advice and the likely cost.
I would also appreciate your help on identifying the watch and if it looks ok; I've just copied the watch name from the dial.
I've added some pictures of the watch including one of my Dad wearing it whilst holding me as a baby in 1967.
Many thanks in advance,,,
