    Hey folks,

in anticipation of a future purchase, I'm letting this one go:

    IMG_4414.JPG

    The Watch

    Omega Seamaster
    Reference: 2657
    Movement: cal. 344 bumper automatic
    Serial: 13459148
    Year: 1952
Case: 36mm "Jumbo" without crown, 14k solid gold
    Dial: Two-tone sub-second
    Clasp: Original Omega

    Condition

    Dial
Original, not refinished/refurbished two-tone with a champagne-silver-white range of colors. Very light and even patina, visible only under close inspection / in certain angles. The arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9, as well as the applied gold faceted daggers are in great condition and really pop in the sunlight. Only minimal aging at the hands. The original radium luminous dots have darkened and contrast the dial nicely. All writing is clearly legible and SWISS MADE present, as it should be. Very small discoloration on the sub-second.

    Case
Might even be unpolished, or at least close to it. Absolutely sharp bezel step and lugs. Few superficial, small scratches, I took pictures in a light that should make those visible, but beautiful overall condition. Caseback has a longer mark and a few traces from failed opening attempts.

    Crown
Original signed clover crown. Works beautifully and grips well, does show some light wear at the edges.

    Crystal
Unsigned, domed plexi with some minor scratches. Nothing that couldn't be polished out.

    Movement
The cal. 344 is clean. It runs, winds and sets well - service history is unknown, though.

    Strap/Clasp
Original 16mm Omega clasp, signed Plague G Swiss - the tone of gold fits the watch perfectly. I apologize in advance that the dark green lizard strap on the pictures is not available anymore, but I'm happy to provide a replacement. From light brown lizard to dark brown / light brown with contrast stitching / black calf-leather up to the full Crocodile Dundee, I'm sure we'll find something. Needless to say, the clasp will stay with the watch.

Can I actually trust that guy?

I’d like to think so. Have a look:

I’m also happy to provide multiple positive feedback on another watch forum, as well as a verification through my eBay-account that has been standing for 18 years, with >1800 reviews, 100% positive. Please do ask.

    Payment, Shipping & Returns

Payment is accepted via PayPal, bank transfer, probably Transferwise (never used it before but happy to try) or cash in person. A coffee would be included in a personal transaction.

The watch is located in Germany, insured shipping (500€ of insurance value, higher is of course available upon request) is usually:

    6€ within Germany
    16€ within Europe
55€ to most parts of the non-European world

Happy to ship to wherever, get in touch and I'm sure we'll be able to figure out the details.

    No returns unless grossly misrepresented.

    The Price

    I'm asking

    1800€

    net to me

If there are any more questions or requests for further pictures, please do let me know. I tried to get all angles in different light settings - always happy to provide more, though.

Please find a video of the watch at the bottom. It gives the most realistic impression of how it looks.

Sunny wristshot-bump from a couple days back when the sun was shining.

Some interest so far, I’d also be up for partial trades (50s / 60s Omegas).
