I've had a few conversations with people about how "they'd buy it if it weren't for the crazed dial" and they're "sure that perfect ones are out there, like the watches some of the dealers have on Chrono24"
Totally within a perspective buyer right to make that statement, although I will say this:
If I hadn't mentioned it, or posted pictures of the dial out of the watch, you would struggle to see the cracks... they don't show in any of the pictures of the watch assembled, and you have to really catch it in the right light when wearing the watch to see them.
Why do I say this?
Because none of the 166.088s being sold by dealers on Chrono24 or eBay show the dial out of the watch. Most of the 166.088s I've encountered first hand have this type of dial crazing. And unless the crazing is extreme, it is incredibly hard to photograph, or see under most light conditions.
I'm not saying you should buy from me (although if you want to, that would be great), I just don't want anyone chasing a "perfect dial" or paying a premium for one, to get a shock when their watch maker opens their new acquisition up for a service, and find that those pesky cracks are there.
Tread carefully folks.
