Moving some things along to pay bills... and with my inability to let the 200m go... well, something had to give, and if I'm honest with myself, the Baby PloProf hasn't been worn more than a handful of times since STS worked their magic... so it's being put up for sale.

I bought this in the Fellows Watch Sale, October 2016, with lume falling out of the hands, a filthy case, and a movement that was in dire need of a service.

Movement has a 42 million serial, pointing year of production to 1979.

Thankfully the team at STS were on hand - the case was stripped and ultrasonically cleaned, the sides and case back bevel, were sympathetically returned to the correct finish, the hands were replaced with NOS Tritium hands from stock, the movement was fully overhauled, new genuine Omega mineral glass, crown, and seals were fitted.

Please note that it is a 40 year old watch, so there is some wear, the only worth calling to attention, and visible in the images is a slight indentation to the bevel of the left hand side at 7 o'clock - STS offered a full refinish, but I felt that keeping the watch as original as possible was best.

It comes with the balance of a 2 year STS service guarantee, which runs until 23/12/2018

It comes on a 22mm Eulit Palma Panama 2 piece Perlon strap for that legitimate 70s dive watch feel.

Asking £2500 net to me - including shipping within the U.K., but ideally face to face.

Head down a couple of posts for the pictures

    Any questions please PM me.

    Cheers!

    Chris

Updating with some shots in natural light, complete with service case, and STS service documentation.

Note: Crown is pulled out to keep the hands at 10:10 for photographs.

I have a Watchco example of this model Chris. The sword hands with the black centres make them look as if they're floating above the dial.

You have a seriously nice diver with solid provenance, good luck with it mate, the new owner won't be disappointed.

Cheers @JimInOz - it is a lovely thing, just not getting the wear compared to the other divers - sure someone else will have some fun with it

One and only reduction to £2,500 net to me.

Lots of views, some silly questions (no, I won't take £1000 for it), if you're in the market for one of these, you know how rare a good one is - @roryoc11 went against me for this at fellows and saw the state it was in... I've spent a chunk more cash getting it working properly, and looking as it should... it's ready to wear and enjoy for years to come.

Guys, this is a sweet watch... it fits so well on the wrist, and it's got such a presence with that bezel and crown guard, a proper toolwatch with a pedigree! I love mine and I can guarantee whoever buys this from Chris will love it :)

    Thank you kind sir!

This is a fun watch to wear, sit's nicely on the wrist, but something has to go... bills to pay... for boring things (like the mortgage), but bills to pay.

Lots of "interested" parties at Time 4A Pint on Tuesday, but the Baby PloProf came home with me, and is back in the safe.

If you'd like to give it a new home, drop me a line - again, they don't come up in this condition as non-builds often.

Open to a bit of an offer on this if anyone is interested... I can write "Speedmaster" on the dial if that helps? :whistling:

The 200m is gone, would be lovely to send this off to a new home too.

Happy to meet any interested parties in person if they would like a look before making a decision... just drop me a line.

    That cracked me up :D

Unfortunately I've offered it also on a certain non-speedy timepiece I'm trying to sell, and I'm sorry to report it doesn't work ::yawn::

It's an agricultural thing - relates to tulips and sheeps :whistling:

Very nice Baby Plongeur Professionnel from a fine fellow - GLWS Chris!
