Caseback doesn’t necessarily align so that is not a red flag at all but from my data, supplied I think from Al, that case number is not correct. The SM 300 LE should along the lines of 055SUZ007361

I understand why you come to this conclusion, and yes you are right that the case number for the regular 60th Seamaster watch is 055SUZ007361. However when I pull that case number up on the Extranet, and look at the photo of the case, I can see through the sapphire crystal to the case back, and the number on the case back is STZ006541, which is actually the specific part number for the case back for this watch.

So this is consistent with how Omega appears to be putting part numbers on things for at least this watch...

However in the photos of this case and of the case back on the Extranet, this case back doesn't have the words "Timepieces" under the words "Limited Edition". Also, the word "Trilogy" doesn't appear on the case back at all. This case back part number is only used on the non-trilogy set watch, so ref. 23410392001001.

However the actual Trilogy set edition does have the same markings as the case back shown for sale does, but the part number inside the case back is STZ006766.

So the case back on the cases being sold appear to be the part number from the regular 60th watch, but engraved on the back as if they were from a Trilogy set watch. I suppose one could argue that's why they were supposedly rejected by Omega...
