Hi Zhana! Without looking at the movement, it's hard to say much, but that should be a manual-wound cal 610 and it's likely to be from the late 1960s. It seems to be in need of service, considering the crystal and overall shape. It's a decent watch, and it can look good with some TLC, but it's not really rare nor is it particularly valuable. If you search the forum for Seamaster 600 you'll find tons of info 😉

app eur 200 to EUR 350 in this state. And I would'nt say slight damage. Plexi needs to be replaced, case, crown and caseback are very worn and movement needs to be serviced. Maybe crown needs to be replaced. After that you have a nice daily wearer. Enjoy!

Do you have better pictures of the dial? It looks nice although maybe I see some damage?

Edit: I would attache a nice cognac or brown leather strap! ::psy::

That could turn up nicely. At the end, the beauty is in the dial. And this one looks nice!

This is what they look like when they are all sorted out -although this one is stainless.

As long as the dial is clean and the plating isn’t worn through, you can get them looking great.

If you’re asking me, mine is stainless and I left it alone- came like that.
As for plated, I would only use a cape cod cloth or other impregnated cloth to clean it, then buff with a microfiber. I wouldn’t use anything more aggressive.

Cloth won’t take off plating- it’s not that fragile. Crystal polishing use polywatch or wet sand, but be careful on the bezel if you wet sand

I wouldn’t be too aggressive- you shouldn’t need to be. Make sure to tell the watchmaker not to hit it with a polishing wheel.

Back to OP- @Zhanna , does you father want to have it repaired or does he want to sell it? You weren’t clear in your initial post.

I thought i read that cape cod will remove metal if enough force is used
