Hello guys, I've been offered a semaster 600 which appears to be in good condition. However, the dial looks to have been refinished in my opinion. Would love to hear what you think😀

The scratches on the crystal make hard to say if the dial is authentic. For example the scratch between e and a in Seamaster in 1st pic looks like the deteriorated dial, in 2nd pic it is clearly a scratch on the dial because e and a are ok. Overall logo, hands and dial looks authentic. Mine 136.012 has tiny lume dots in the ends of hour markers, so they changed their color through ages. Also want to ask if this is 32 or 35mm version?

Edit: can you tell the price this watch is being offered to you?

Don't you think there is paint covering the edges of the indexes? That's what made me think it's a redial. To be honest i was not aware there is a 32mm version. I will ask him about the size. Price is 300 euros

Is hard to tell from these pics, I think that looks more like metal' corrosion, well I want to think like that 😀

You really should ask the seller. Here is the screenshot from OmegaEnthusiast YouTube video to navigate easier between these Seamaster 600 models.

Thanks for the input! Made me learn a new thing today😀 I wish ask the seller and report back. However I still can't decide whether the dial is refinished or corroded

Thank you for your replies! Out of curiosity though, why does the paint around the indexes have this "bubbly" effect? Is it the metal of the indexes corroding?

Instead of being applied, the markers are raised from the metal of the dial itself. At this magnification, the paint doesn't make a crisp line.

Agree, dial definitely looks authentic. Badly scratched crystals tend the obscure that fact too as I have come to learn. I also think that’s a fair price.

Yes, forgot to mention, the price is fair for this watch. Unlike the other one discussed lately here on forum for 675 Euros I believe 😀
