    Hey guys,

I have this great Seamaster 60 for sale, which is in extraordinary condition, but a bit to small for my wrist. It was serviced 2009 at Omega and rarely worn since than. The watch was build in 1970 and has the Serial 28.993.xxx.

    Case:

The case is made of stainless steel. Since it got a finish at Omega service it looks like new.
Size is 37mm in diameter and around 41,5mm in length. The crystal was also changed during the service.
The Caseback lost a bit of its text.

    Bezel:
The bezel is orginal and has a small crack at 45 and lost a bit of its color at 10 to 15. All in all great condition

    Dial:
The blue dial is in very good condition and wasn't changed. The lume on the markers is original, the blue is changing the color in a very nice way at different light coniditions.

    Hands:
Hands are orginal Omega, but were changed during service.

    Movement:
Movement is the famous Cal. 565 automatic movement. Its running great, quick change of date is also working as it should.

    Bracelet:
The watch comes with it original Ref. 1098 bracelet. It is also in good condition.

    Price:

I'd like to have 2500€ 2.200€ for this nice package. It also includes the changed parts during service, all the papers of service and a certificate.

I have dealed here before many times, so if you need references, I can provide them.
The watch is located in Germany, but I can ship it worldwide.

    Cheers Nico

    Hey guys,

I got a few questions regarding the non „60“ dial and if this is legit. I read that both dials were original issued by omega, maybe depending on the region.

Anyone of you have more info? Seems the seamaster 60 is an relatively unknown field yet and of course I don’t wanna sell something wrong.

    Thanks Nico

    Hi @JimJupiter , nice watch !

Regarding the dial question, I'm on the lookout for a 166.0062 for quite a while now and see the 60 and "no 60" dials coming up in equal numbers. I think the watch was sold both ways, with and without the 60.

I know that old catalogues have to be viewed with some care but whilst doing my research I found it quite reassuring that in this old catalogue from mexico the 166.062 is shown without the 60 on the dial.

    Edit:

Here is another one, from a german catalogue, showing the red variant without the 60 on the dial:

Edit Nr.2: Old german catalogue for "Wasserdichte Uhren" "Waterproof watches" ..showing some examples of Omegas and their intended use :

Here we see the dial variant with the 60, as I said above, I think both dials are legit period correct.

    Cheers,

    Max

One of the nicest examples I’ve seen of these! Dial & bezel in gorgeous shape.......almost impossible to find this nice. Most example are average at best. Someone’s getting a hell of a watch! (It would be me if I didn’t already own one!) GLWS Nico!!
