Up for sale is my Omega Seamaster 300M, serial number 571034XX, which dates it to 1998. This watch is the 41mm quartz SMP, reference 2541.80.00. Currently on a NATO strap but sold with the original bracelet.

The Omega 1538 Quartz movement comes a battery changed within the last few months. The watch keeps excellent time.

This was frequent weekend wearer for me for the last 7 years and was one of two SMPs I’m my collection - I’m selling both to fund a different Seamaster I recently acquired.

Lume still glows brightly when charged on both dial and skeleton hands. Case features original brushing - some marks that come with regular wear. The red tip on the second hand has faded (as they typically have on 300Ms).

Original bracelet with diver’s extension still feels solid - has desk diving marks on the clasp and seems to have the full compliment of links. I have three links beyond what is pictured that I’ve stored since new.

The blue bezel has some marks and fine scratches however still looks good and presents well.

Frankly, if I were you I would just keep it as the ultimate beater watch, since you don't have to worry about scratches and it will last you for decades more. Who wants to beat around in an SKX007 when you can have the real deal?

PS: I have a 56m serial Bond Qaurtz like this for myself and I gave one within 60,000 SN to my son. The SN tables I've seen make 56m my son's birth year in 1998. I think I've seen 56 and 57m are both 1998, but don't recall where I saw that.

I had similar thoughts but my wife is making some worrying threats about the growing size of the collection, so sadly this gets sacrificed. Absolutely agree about it being a great everyday, hard-wearing watch.

Well yeah, I have the Seiko SKX007, SKX009, SKX173, etc... and I'd rather beat them up vs the SMP since my SMP is flawless.
