Hallo Everyone, I am a hothead of vintage watches. I have a Rolex 1601 from 1970 and Rare vintage Girard-Perregaux Deep Diver generation II, ref. 7897. Now I have a chance to buy Omega Seamaster 300. It would be mt first Omega. So I do not have a lot of information about it. I know that bezel is not original . But I would like to ask what You think about this watch ? Thank You
Check out this post I did a while back on another forum and good luck with your search. http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...mega-Seamaster-300-including-Military-watches
Back to The Omega. Thank You for every opinion. I know that it is a flatboat. Not for this price. Price is below 2000 euro . That I know that is not full original. So , Bezel not original. But mechanism and Face is not original too ? Painted figures ? Not worth it for this price ? Thank You Once again and Best Regards
The only genuine Omega part is the movement and it likely came from a low value model like a Geneve. Not worth it for any price as far as I'm concerned, it's really nothing more than a replica.
Dear, I have last request for You. I have better photo. Could You give me informations what is on dial that You see that it is not original dial ? Because I can't see diferent beetwen original Dial and Dial from this watch . Could You give me information what is not ok with this Dial ? Thank You for answer Best Regards
Not That is not something like a user acceptance test. But You said that the watch is not original. But You didn't give examples for dial. So I think what is with this dial not ok . Few person said that the Dial looks like original . I have tomorrow deadline to buy this watch or not buy. So I know that the Bezel is not orignal , movement original , Envelope - I don't know And Dial - I don't know what is wrong with this Dial. That's why I request for examples what is wrong with Dial . I think is that good think to buy it and looking for oringinal bezel ( if for example dial is ok ) or it is not good way. Thank You
Do a google search for fake Seamaster 300 dials and you'll find various threads going through it. It's not genuine.
How could you tell that the case is wrong from those photos? I'm sorry to ask, but I'm trying to learn more about this model. I've read various collector's guides, but they mainly focus on dial, hands, bezel, and even the case-back. I know very little about how to verify the correctness of the case.
