    dear all

I would like to ask if this omega looks ok in terms of being genuine and original specimen.

what would be a fair price for this watch?

    thank you!

Yea the Seiko diver strap isn't becoming on an SM300, needs a vintage mesh imo

Or a Nato. I had mine (also in the 24.2 range) on a 1506/16, but more difficult to find...

Watch looks like it is original, still with the NAIAD crown. Having said that, the 165.024 is probably the most "put together" vintage Omega around. If I was buying one of these I would want and extract of records confirming the serial number belonged to a movement that shipped from the factory in a 165.024.

Are the markers on the bezel (of the OP's watch) correct? Look different from the correct ones that I've seen.

    Sorry to say...
yes, the bezel is wrong. No version looks like that. Fonts are wrong. The serif on the 1 etc.
...and a close-up will show that there are no lume leftovers on the markers. Only unmarked paint. The paint on these will allways be discolored by the lume breakdown.

furthermore the case is heavy and wrongly polished. Look at the sides. No sharp linies and no brushed lower surface.
Replacement crown. Rotor is from a later 552/565. The earlier .024's rotor has different shape. Serial 24x is 65/66.
Dial and hands look ok at first glance, but would need close-ups. The lume area on the hour hand looks to small/narrow And the "swiss made" font seems to be to high, but could be the angel.

    wouldn't buy this one
