Exactly. There's a fine line between brave and foolhardy. If you spend several months educating yourself on the subtleties of a desirable reference, then you're in a position to act quickly.
I have missed several great "deals" becuase I was uneducated and didn't trust my instincts at the time. I am not a watch expert, but there are particulars models or brands for which I have a passion and developed a voracious appetite for knowledge- I have read every online thread, followed obscure posts to their illogical end, looked at every available web pic and learned all the nuances I could. When those particular watches come up for sale, I can tell in a matter of seconds if it's worth pursuing or not. Even the seasoned veterans and experts can get it wrong occasionally, but their knowledge more often than not is what keeps the margin very low.
Enjoy the education and I look forward to seeing your conquest when (not if) you eventually get it.

Thank you both for your kind words and the “learning material” 😉
I will read it, learn from it and hit the button next time faster (and with the Knowledge if fake of original).

I paid 3800€ 😁. If you see a watch like this you Must be quick and without any doubts, its my 3rd Seamaster 300 Vintage in my Collection , also i have a few Speedmaster Prof Vintage. I am a german collector of vintagewatches near to Essen where the watch was located.

Also the green hands are correct. In 1966 and 1967 the watchmanufacturers operate with Zinksulfid for hands and dials, so you can find Rolex otherwise Omegas with green dials or hands or both of them.

Nice pick-up and welcome to the forum. Since this is your third, perhaps you can broker one off to the OP since he was after the one you just got. Or assist him in finding one- you seem to know where they pop up.

The hands may be correct but I wouldn’t think they are original to the watch.
