·Hi All,
Putting up for sale my 2913-3 to pay for an incoming. Always thought this would be a keeper but a grail was just offered to me and you know how it goes.
Dial: nice original radium dial. A few marks on the dial near the 3 oclock marker. Not noticable in most lighting conditions but look at the photos for details.
Bezel: original "countdown" bakelite bezel. The countdown bezel was only seen on the first 3 sub references and is quite uncommon. Most of these bezels were replaced so finding one with the original intact is getting pretty hard!
Bracelet: comes with a 7077 bracelet with correct original 6 end links. All expansion links work great and band is quite tight.
Movement: serial is 16.297.xxx. Confirmed by extract of archives and dates to 1959 delivered to Singapore.
Miscellaneous: few months after I purchased this I was informed by the original seller he found the box and Aqualung US dive strap the watch came with when he bought it. Box is a correct early seamaster 300 box but I cannot confirm it came with the watch. Box has some damage on the hinge and could use a repair.
Hands: this one is tough... the watch is a 2913-3 which was a transitional so both small arrow hands and broad arrow hands are correct for this reference. The watch has the earlier countdown bezel so I feel broad arrow hands would be more correct for the watch, but the current hands match the dial so I think they are originals. I did find a set of broad arrow hands which I have but have not yet attached. I will offer gbe buyer their choice on the hands. The broad arrow hands with the countdown bezel would match the re-edition release perfectly if thats what you are going for!
Price: I am asking 23,000 USD. Watch is located in Hong Kong and ships via DHL Express. I accept wire or PayPal + 4% for the fees.
Any questions please PM and happy to help!
If you have instagram I have a video of the watch up there you can check out. My name there is sweeping_seconds.
Kind regards,
Mike
