Hi Guys, I am new in this forum. I search for a good and original omega seamaster from 50s 60s or 70s. I found this watch on chrono24 and start investigating, I can´t find any similar watch with black dial and a small second like this!!?? the pointers also doesn´t seem to be original. Is this watch a frankenstein watch? Please help me. https://www.chrono24.de/omega/omega-seamaster-30-handaufzug-black-dial-anno-1962--id5164572.htm Best regards from germany. Alex
Thanks for your answer. SO it is really hard to find a almost original vintage omega :-( What I don´t understand is, this reseller is a trusted reseller @ chrono24, with a lot of good reviews.
Trusted seller means he is paying Chrono24 for the privilege, nothing more Chrono24 is not checking every watch on their web page. Most dealers are not as knowledgeable as most collectors when it comes to watches of this era, or they simply try to flog it if it looks "presentable". That piece doesn't look anything but. But you have a lot of people who won't know and will get caught. You obviously did your homework and asked, but some people won't do that and buy it because it looks good to them.
Lumes are brand new, paint splatter on the Omega logo, text is misaligned, and there is paint on the edges of the hour markers. All signs of a sloppy redial. This is the place to ask! Happy Hunting, Thomas
