    Hi all,

Just bought my first seamaster! Pictures to come after servicing (I'm very excited to see how it'll look). However, the crystal on it is not an original omega. I am having the crystal replaced as part of the servicing, and was wondering if anyone had any tips for finding a replacement original seamaster crystal for a 2848?

    Thanks again OF,
    -J.

Bump...Still looking for help. I guess not the end of the world if I have no replace with a non-Omega crystal. Anyone have any advice?

So I made a stupid mistake... I bought PX5140, which has a gold-toned tension ring. The watch is a stainless steel seamaster with gold hardware. Do you think it'll look OK, given gold hardware? I guess I can always swap out the crystal later for one with a stainless steel tension ring...

Gold hardware with silver ring vs gold ring.

Thank you @hoipolloi ! Not enough of a difference for me to care. I can't seem to really find my PZ5140 online close to me anyways, whereas the gold is more easily available!
