Omega Seamaster 2222.80 - Serial check

Dear All,

I'm considering purchasing a Seamaster 2222.80 through internet.
The warranty card mentions the watch nr 84680031 with a sold date of november 2014.
Seller doesn't want to take a picture of the watch clearly showing the serial number - he says this is for "protecting" the watch.

Does this seem legit?

Thanks all,
Regards,
Bernard

That’s a bit silly, considering they show the entire serial number on the warranty card.

My take on sellers that choose to be difficult when they're selling something that is fairly available: time to move on.

1) Have him take a picture with the last 4 digits redacted.
2) Have him take a picture of the watch at a specific time and date that cannot be found by googling images of the watch.

That watch is very clean & undamaged for being a 10 year old Seamaster (these guys go everywhere, do everything & get a little banged up over time, but it could have been well taken care of.
