Hi Guys I recently bought a Seamaster 300 60th Anniversary watch which I like a lot and wear regularly. For this reason I want to get a further Seamaster and the following watch got my attention. It’s a Seamaster Prebond 200m; don’t know more about the watch and was not able to find one like that with red second hand anywere (for example on Chrono). Hence thought some of you could gove me an input on that one. As always, highly appreciated . As well regarding value proposition; what is a reasonalble price (seller asking for 1800 USD bur I think negotiable)
I have never seen that colour hand on a Pre-Bond before so would suggest it has been painted, though the hand itself looks right. $1800 USD is big bucks for that, even from a dealer. I would want it nearer half that. $1K at most bearing in mind the second hand and condition. It does seem to be the rarer and more desirable full size auto model though which helps, were the hands right and the bezel less beaten up then maybe $1200-1400 would be reasonable.
Thx for the info. Yes, me neither. The first time I see a red second hand on such a watch, but was unsure as the Tritium on it looks aged. But painted could be the solution to it. thanks for the range on the price as well!
Perhaps you have already seen it but the most comprehensive guide to these models I found is here. https://forums.watchuseek.com/f45/f...bond-series-316149.html#/topics/316149?page=1 I own the earliest 1441 Cal model and find it very appealing.
