Good Evening
First time posting on here and looking for some help identifying Omega Seamaster and guidance on repair and insurance value.
Sadly my Father passed away recently and we have found his Omega Seamaster which we believe is “rose gold”
Dad was gifted the watch in 1970 (ish) by the King (Amir) of Bahrain. we have very little detail.
The details we have are what you can see in the images.
Omega Seamaster
Automatic
Chronometer
Officially Certified

Gold Plated L 20 Microns and Stainless Steel
No12
1069/524

on the strap 2 - 70

The link that covers the watch strap bar to the watch is missing.

Any help identifying the model number, advise on replacing the missing link and insurance value would be greatly received.

Looks like a reference 168.022. The gold plate appears to be yellow, not rose.

The endlink is a gold plated no.524.

Market around £600. Obviously insurance replacement value may be higher.

You can check around for a replacement end-link, but I think that the watch might look very nice, and less blingy, on a strap.

As Dan mentioned. You might be able to get a replacement, but if rose gold plated. Probably not. Gold with a thin gold plating and will be a low match to the gold filled bracelet.

If the bracelet has lots of wear. I wouldn't bother and again as Dan mentioned. Med. brown leather strap makes for a nice casual looking watch
