hi i got this omega Seamaster 1950ish Gold On Steel one its used but my question is What can the Worth be on this Beast ? can get the Scratches done if that makes the Price higher
Who can tell with those pictures? Barely recognizable as an Omega. Turn your flash off and shoot new pics in indirect sunlight with as little reflection as possible. Also, make sure to push the flower button to put your camera in macro mode for better focus close-up. Thanks!
Probably has a cal. 491 in it or something similar. It'd probably go for like $300-500 if you list it on ebay.
Hi, this is a rare caliber 491, it was introduced in 1955 and was produced until about 1958. the serialnumber of the movement is stamped on the movement, but the oscillating weight is blocking the number on the picture you posted, movement serialnumber is probably around 15 or 16 milion. Case is gold plated 80 Microns.Dial and hands looks original, Est price 400-600 USD I have not checked any source about this watch but this is what my eyes tell me. Nice timepiece indeed. Found that on other forum
Personally I see the watch closer to $400 USD, but that is just my opinion. While dial is original, it is pretty beat and it looks like someone attempted to clean it in the past. It also has some staining. Hands look relumed, and case is worn particularly on the lugs and right side.
but its next to 50 years old. imo thats charming for 50 years old wach never Opend but ye 400 imo is nice money
I have plenty of 80+ year old Hamiltons that have solid gold jewel settings, balance wheel screws and dial figures that don't bring $400. Supply and demand are the only two factors that matter. gatorcpa
Sorry, as a relative novice I would not be interested in that piece at these prices. Has someone poured in some castrol gtx? looks like oil on the face? How about a movement shot?
No offer made, merely passing comment ( you did ask) as I said if you give a movement shot I might change my mind and say what I would consider a fair price, only to help but with no intention of buying.
