I visited an auction house in the UK, and they've listed this 18k Omega Seamaster, however I wasn't able to find many examples with the 'Seamaster' stamp underneath the Omega logo. I also checked the vintage Omega archive, but couldn't find another example. I did however find one example which was offered by a watch shop HERE

Can someone tell me if this watch is a fake, redial, or (preferably) a rare 18k reference

I am excited to learn more about vintage Omega references!

Likely real. The omega database lists a DeVille with that reference:

Reference 165.008 (165.0008) looks correct.

Lots of different variations on the dials for this reference.

Thanks Fif, Yes that watch does look similar, I was however suspicious about the 'Seamaster' placement just under the Omega logo, the thread about the fakes made me cautious before bidding.
