That is a beautiful watch and I would like to have one of these. I like the one with orange hands more, but yours is a cracker. Unfortunately my wife just caught me buying another watch which she didn t know about and I might have to wait a while before I can get one. ::shy::

Well kept example and an honest example too, if that's a watch design you particularly like, I'd go for it.

I think a fair price might be about 1200 quid judging from what is about on the internet sites.

I looked at those and what is on ebay, one of them on ebay, the same model as yours that has just been serviced he will accept 950 pounds while others are between 1500 and 1700, so I was thinking in the middle would be a fair price. The ones on Chrono24 are often dealers who need to make a profit. At the end of the day, you should ask for what you want and see how it goes, if buyers think its over priced they won t pay if they are happy to pay your asking price they will do.

They were produced in the early 70s, they did not have a very long production run. There are a few colour variations available. The gold coloured one is probably the least desirable while the one with orange hands would be my first choice.

I have seen a few of these with an orange second hand on them. Are they non original for this model or are there several designs for this watch?

Is this another "sneak in the back door" sales thread?

    Yes.

OP already has an idea of prices from his own research & is prepared to argue answers to his question on value.

Perhaps we should have a function that automatically diverts these posts into a sub forum of the Private Sales area...

The OP watch has original minute hand and is in good shape. Makes it worth a premium. Having an original bracelet like Icono's or mine would have added more to the package. BTW, if you look at the ad literature you will see that these came on 2-3 different bracelets over their short lifespan.

It came with two types of minute hands. The needle type and the pointy one. Here's mine with the the latter type.

He has done the same thing on another forum. I was originally sympathetic and offered advice, but he is a self-proclaimed collector looking to drum up both interest and a sale without following SOP. Hard to ask for pricing guidance and subsequently challenge findings with his own price guidelines....

Offer it, and the other watches you're trying to sell, through the proper channels.

    Helo Larry and all,

it´s not OK what you write !

I have been collecting for 25 years Rolex vintage watches, need to believe but not !

i have the first time in my live Omega vintage watches,
and asked here for you opinions, if original ? if all ok !
and to find the value of this watches...

sure, i will sell it, but when i don't know the value, how i should do it ???

any members (i don't tell the nicknames) wrote me a message, they want to buy it..!

none of the watches is being sold here, without paying fees...

    Thank you
