·The original crown is discontinued, so that is the current replacement. I wouldn't reject a watch because of it if you otherwise like it.

·With the bracelet, $700 seems like a good price (not sure what you mean by "average price"); I like the cross-hair dial.
You will want to check that the vertical brushing on the case sides is intact and that the case-back isn't badly over polished. This is a pretty common reference (in Japan), so you can be patient for a good one. As you may know, there is also a chronometer version and some other similar references (168.024, 166.009, etc.).
Lower-left: 166.009
Upper-right: 166.010 (chronometer)

What I meant was that the price seemed reasonable for what was being offered based on previous ebay sales.
